From 24th to 26th of September, 2017, the Chairman of the Foundation for Hungarian-Vietnam Relations accompanied Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán Viktor during his official visit to Vietnam on the invitation of Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Accompanied by the Hungarian Prime Minister including Lady Prime Minister, Foreign and Foreign Economic Ministers, Minister of National Economic Affairs, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of National Development, Secretary of State Ministry of Resources, Secretary of State in charge of Program Coordination Office of Prime, Political Advisor of Prime Minister, Special Envoy of Prime Minister, Advisor major foreign policy of Prime Minister, Deputy Secretary of State in charge of southbound policy, Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam. In addition, participating in the Government delegation, there are nearly 50 Hungarian enterprises wishing to cooperate with Vietnam, including the Chairman of the Foundation for Hungarian-Vietnamese relations.
During this visiting, the two sides exchanged views on promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, health, education, science, and technology, environment as well as discussing some of the international and regional issues of mutual concern.

The Chairman of the Foundation, who is also the director for the Vietnam market of Gamma Group, Mrs. Phan Bich Thien, has many essential contributions to deepen the cooperative relations between the two countries. In the delegation accompanying the Hungarian Prime Minister this time, she played a huge role in preparation for the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Memorandum between the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute and the Hungarian Gamma Technical Group on cooperation in development radioactive monitoring and warning system. This is one of 10 important documents signed during the visit of the Hungarian Prime Minister to Vietnam this time. The completed cooperation project will contribute to significantly improving the environmental radiation monitoring and increasing the capacity of Vietnam in the face of complicated developments of environmental radiation safety.
