During the last 2 years, almost 200 Vietnamese university professors and researchers have participated in a nuclear training in Hungary, which our Foundation has supported since the very beginning. The training took place at the Institue of Nuclear Technology at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and at the MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant. 

During the last 2 years, almost 200 Vietnamese university professors and researchers have participated in a nuclear training in Hungary, which our Foundation has supported since the very beginning. The training took place at the Institue of Nuclear Technology at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and at the MVM Paks Nuclear Power Plant. 

The program has gained international attention as well, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) expressed a positive opinion on their general assembly in September 2014 about the importance of the transfer of information and knowledge between countries.  

In the closing ceremony of the program, apart from the media representatives, numerous guests of honors have participated:  

  • Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
  • Attila Aszódi, Government Commissioner for the maintenance of the performance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant
  • Pál Kovács , CEO Advisor for the Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd., former Secretary of State for Energy
  • Szabolcs Czifrus, Director of the Institute of Nuclear Technology at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics
  • Ferenc Zsoldos, International Educational Project Manager of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd.
  • László Thuróczy, Managing Director of CETEMCOM Ltd.
  • Phan Bich Thien, Member of Vietnamese National Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front, Chairwoman of Foundation for Hungarian-Vietnamese Relations

 The educational cooperation between the two countries so far has proved to be very effective, so further programs about the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, also supported by our Foundation, can be expected in the future.
